Air purifiers come in all different shapes and sizes. Living in the PNW, fire season has become just as normal as the rainy season. This was our reason for buying air purifiers.
Our first air filter system was simply a 3M Filtrete tape to the back of a box fan.
This was because we started shopping too late, and all the air purifying machines were sold out.
But over the years, we have built up our collection of air purifying machines in anticipation of the fire seasons.
And let’s be honest, they’re only getting worse.
Some of these past fire seasons have been really harsh.
Not being able to go outside because the smoke is so thick means that smoke is coming into the house, too.
We now have a total of three air purifying machines: the Homedics air purifier and two Winix models.
